I’m not a fan of tennis if I’m honest… although he says this while it’s on in the background. Apparently Murray vs Lopez is an important match. Is it even called a match?

The reason I’ve got it on is for my good lady. Some of you may recall that I took her to the US Tennis Open in America last September… and boy, did I enjoy that!

I have a few videos from back then that detailed the trip on my old YouTube channel. This video for example will show my excitement at missing a Liverpool game to go to the US Men’s Final instead.

I’ll try and give Wimbledon another go but I can’t see me starting a Tennis Talk website soon.

Football is my life, although I must confess that I’m a big fan of the PDC (i.e. darts, as shown on Sky Sports, not the BDO darts that you see on the BBC – there’s a huge difference trust me!).

And I will of course be watching WBA heavyweight champion David Haye fight IBF and WBO title-holder Wladimir Klitschko on Saturday as I like to watch the big fights.

A bit of snooker is alright on a Sunday afternoon after a roast dinner and of course I love to attend the odd horse race meeting when in the UK.

One thing’s for sure, I’ve lost a lot of weight since this was recorded in 2010! Maybe it was all the running… I’d catch Mateo now, for sure ;)

Appearing on TV wasn’t why I agreed to do this, I did it because I wanted to be involved. The ‘off camera’ stuff and experiences were of far more importance to me.

It was an experience I will never forget. I made new friends and best of all, I owned the fuck out of my haters once again. Watch the video for absolute proof that Dunk does know best ;)

I was expecting the trophy to be heavily guarded and in a glass cabinet but then I remembered that this was Spain and not England.

The wait was only about 15 minutes and I spent most of that plotting how to steal it as there was only a couple of guards and the back door was about 8 metres away from the cup. My quad bike and Jack Bauer bag would have been ideal for this job. See, you can take the Englishman out of England but you can’t take England out of the Englishman!

It was a really relaxed atmosphere. The sun was beaming down and the Spanish dads were here with their children. It was great for them to be able to have their photos taken with the cup and there was no pressure from the organisers about how long you took.

Anyway, I was there and back within the hour. It was well worth turning out for. It’s just a shame that my son Robert couldn’t have been here. He missed it by a week as the schools break up for Easter on Friday.
